MEAL DELIVERY SERVICES
At Venice Area Mobile Meals, our mission is simple yet impactful: to deliver warm, nutritious meals at noon, six days a week (Monday through Saturday), to individuals in the Greater Venice, Florida area who are unable to prepare meals due to physical or mental disabilities. We proudly serve all who qualify, regardless of financial circumstances, and there are no age restrictions.
ABOUT THE MEALS
Our meals are freshly prepared daily on-site at Village on the Isle in Venice, Florida. Each meal is carefully packed into insulated containers to ensure freshness and quality, then swiftly distributed to our volunteer drivers for delivery. On average, 165 meals are delivered each day, accompanied by a friendly smile and meaningful conversation.
Each meal provides approximately 800 calories and includes:
- An entrée
- Vegetables
- Salad
- Dessert (diabetic-friendly fruit options available)
This service operates year-round, including holidays, ensuring that no one is left without a meal.
COST & SERVICE AREA
- Cost: $7.25 per meal, billed monthly.
- Payment: Meal costs are supported through recipient payments and generous donations to Venice Area Mobile Meals, Inc.
- Service Area: Our service area extends from Blackburn Point Road in Osprey to Manasota Beach Road in South Venice, from the Gulf of Mexico to I-75 and River Road.
